Last year before leaving Bozeman I made a promise to 2 great friends.
I will see you in Hawaii for the Kaimana Klassic!
Nearly a year later I fulfilled that promise

3 days of ultimate. Camping on the beach. Dinner. Sun.
Nate picked me up from Mel’s folks on Friday and we drove to the fields. There we met up with Matt and Logan and the rest of the team.
The first day we had 2 really close games and things were looking alright. The 3rd game of the day, however, we lost 2-13 or something close to that.
The second day we started to realize that the other teams have been practicing together a lot more than we had and were in shape. I’ll shorten the scoreboard of those games and just tell you we lost another 3 games.
The last day of the tournament was play until you lose pretty much. We lost the first game to the team that took 2nd place. We then dropped into the losers bracket and won….last place.
We had so much fun playing though it was crazy. The tournament layout was the best I’ve ever had. No more than 3 games in a day. Bye’s to separate games(which meant swimming in the ocean). Great dinner at night…awesome.
After the tournament we stayed at The Edition: Waikiki. Tymer had a discount from being an associate of the Marriot so we got a sweet deal. This hotel was amazing. We walked down around Waikiki a bit and had dinner with everybody that had not left yet.
The next day the few of us that were left went surfing/snorkeling. Afterwards we hit up a local fish taco place that was pretty amazing, similar to how amazing watching Logan and Chris eat 6 of their taco’s!

Wednesday was a chill day and we basically walked around the International Market in Waikiki all day. That night I had dinner with Mel’s parents and some desert at Yogurtland. I learned from last time I was at Yogurtland that you can easily get way too much. I’m proud that I didn’t make myself sick this time. After they dropped me off at the Hotel, I found that Matt, Chris, Tymer and Logan were at the restaurant, Morimoto, in the Hotel so I decided to join. I didn’t realize that they were just getting started, so I ordered some Sake for everybody that was awesome. The meal they ordered was pretty much the coolest thing I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. Huge plate of sushi, 2 sizzling bowls of something that they ended up preparing on the table for Logan and Matt. Everything was awesome.
